for sale…
Melody had a garage sale a few weeks ago. Our friends John & Summer helped out. Lakyn kept sitting in this chair and telling people it was hers, so John made her a sign to hold.
Our nifty little family is comprised of Melody, T.J, Lakyn, Holden, Chico and Zaph. We currently reside in the beautiful plains of the Texas Panhandle... Amarillo to be exact.

Melody was pulling out a pizza from the oven and also pulled out the rack to get a better grip on the pan. As she set the pan on the stove Lakyn decided to push the rack back in bare handed. Needless to say she burned her palm pretty bad. After about two hours of crying she let us medicate and wrap it. She woke up today with the wrap off and confidently stated the Jesus had fixed it. She is amazing. Her Gammy sent her this little get well present…she loves it.

I love how (almost) every time I water the grass Lakyn immediately turns it into a water park. You should also take note that her current attire is irrelevant to getting wet. As long as she is happy.

On Lakyn’s first birthday we bought her a Radio Flyer tricycle. She loves (loved) that thing. On her second birthday we bought her very first bicycle, Princess Bicycle to be exact. She didn’t even care, she was too attached to the radio flyer. Now four months past her third birthday she asked to ride the Princess Bike. I was elated as cycling has been a big part of my life for the last 8 or 9 years. So I got it out and off she went. She is now sold on the faster bike and has already asked when she can ride with me.

I think it is quite obvious what sport Holden wants play. He gets it from his sister. At night when most kids want cartoons Lakyn wants to watch English Premier League…no joke. For the soccer fanatics like myself that is a Nike Total 90 Aerow EPL ball.
We had a blast on Sunday, I think we ended up with thirty three people (all family). The weather was great so the egg hunt ensued. Below is a picture of all the cousins that can run and hunt. Melody and I really enjoy spending time with our family’s like that, it brings out great laughs and quality time.

Every saturday morning at our house starts the same: doughnuts, coffee, wild hair and crazy kids. It is the highlight of my week. Here is a glimps of this morning. Holden loves to see how many doughnut holes he can get in his mouth at one time (so far 3). Lakyn just eats the icing.
Here is a picture I took almost a year ago. I find it funny how much she changes without me even realizing it. The amount of love that she has in her heart most people only dream of. She brings so much life and joy to our family.
Thought I would show you my new ipod. I am using it as a portable hard drive (and of course music, video, photo). I was apprehensive at first to put video’s on it, but the quality is amazing. Perfect for waiting at the doctor, dentist and bus. I found a nice little app called handbrake that copies dvds (yes I own them) to an ipod format. Did I mention that it has 160GB of storage.
